In 2009/2010, we were successful with HACC Growth Funding application to secure a part time Nurse for HACC to provide Health Care to our Clients and additional funding to improve our personal care, social support and Transport services.
Currently, we have 7 HACC Care Workers with the Coordinator to deliver the services below to our clients. Other services remain as below;

Domestic: HACC provides cleaning assistance to those that are assessed as needing them. HACC staff also assist by undertaking laundry services, shopping, bill paying and other general duties.

Centre-based Day Care: Run at the Senior Citizens Hall or sometimes as an outing for clients. HACC and other services clients combine and enjoy activities, games, crafts, outings and traditional lunches.

Transport, morning tea and lunches are provided. The centre is open from

Meals: HACC staff deliver lunch (Meals on Wheels) to all client and non-clients as we decided to discontinue volunteers’ services. We also prepare and deliver meals and serve breakfast at the centre.

Home Maintenance: weeding, tree lopping, rubbish removal along with minor repairs to clients’ homes or non-electric household appliances. We also help to arrange for bigger jobs to be done by a tradesperson.

Nursing Care: Health care provided to a client by a registered or Enrolled Nurse. This care will be provided from a community Centre or in the Client Home.
Reporting: HACC are recording in the Client Management System (CMS) and Minimum Data Set (MDS) the type of service and the quantity delivered to the clients. All HACC funded agencies are required to complete the Quarterly HACC MDS and report to the National Data Repository (NDR).
